La communication et l'accueil a été parfait. La proximité de Cortone, en 15 min à pied, via une agréable promenade (accessible en poussette :-) ) ! ☹ Cuisine principale un peu exiguë.Posted onVerified This is a brilliant villa, in a perfect location, we didn’t want to leave. ☺ This villa is brilliant! The inside space is clean and roomy, and everyone was very happy with the beds. The kitchens are well equipped and both have everything you would want. There is also a good bar-b-q, with all the elements you need provided, so al fresco cooking and dining are possible, if you want. The pool was a favourite area for everyone and it is one of the best we have enjoyed. It is a good size, and not too deep, so all members of the family felt comfortable; worth noting that it is deep enough that it still feels like a good pool. It is a very pleasant short walk into Cortona from the villa (15 minutes ish) which is great for lunches and dinners, which can be enjoyed with a glass of something without worrying about driving. There are torches in the villa so no issues about walking back in the dark. Giulia, the host, was the fabulous, friendly and helpful. The welcome pack is so generous and it lasted us for a few days. The olive oil is produced by the owners and we took advantage of buying some more to bring home. We had a fabulous time and are looking forward to when we can go back. ☹ A very minor thing, one of the bedrooms in the lower apartment doesn’t have a wardrobe. There is plenty of storage in the rest of the villa and it did not cause us any real problems.Posted onVerified LOVE IT! ☺ We spent a wonderful week at this property. Beautiful views, peace and quiet, birdsong, sunshine, and an authentic Tuscan atmosphere—you can really feel the Italian tradition and charm. It was exactly what we were looking for. You can walk to Cortona in just over 20 minutes, and the access is good, although it might seem a bit challenging for some people. Giulia is very helpful, kind, and friendly. Overall, we rate our stay very highly and definitely recommend it :))Posted onVerified Exceptional ☺ Views and locationPosted onVerified Your forever villa in Tuscany ☺ The Villa is absolutely beautiful and located on the hillside with a stunning view over the valley. It is very comfortable and in two levels with two bedrooms, a kitchen and bathroom each. Very good concept for us as we were friends-couples. The pool is a very good size and well kept. It's clean, and the water does not smell strongly of chloride. One evening we used the grill, which was clean and worked perfectly. The owners/staff are super friendly and helpful! We got help with local wineries and also to get a professional chef to come to the house and cook a four course dinner for us, which was great! We totally recommend this villa, and we will surely be back again! ☹ Nothing is actually negative. It can be a bit of a challenge to find, but in our case we were met near town and shown the way. Hospitality and location second to none. A slice of heaven! ☺ Amazing location with beautiful views across the Tuscan countryside. Giulia and Alessandro the owners were lovely and there to assist all our needs. The property is very private with garden and swimming pool, the perfect retreat! It is also located close to Cortona, a 15 minute walk takes you into the centre which is fabulous with lots of bars and restaurants to choose from. The surrounding countryside is stunning, sunsets magnificent and this is a great place to base yourself for exploring the rest of Tuscany. ☹ Not a lot to dislike really. The hot water was a little temperamental at times.Posted onVerified Pleasant ☺ The location is beautiful. The house is big and spacious. The hosts collected us from the train station and dropped us back on our departure. The hosts provided dinner, bread, tomatoes, cheese, ham, fruit, wine, water, juice, milk, dessert on arrival. Very generous. The hosts tried to help when the internet did not work. When the power went out at night the hosts were quick to respond. ☹ Location - The house is not where it is shown on the map. It is further from the old town of Cortona than shown. The walk is alone an unlit, rocky, steep track. It is almost impossible to secure a taxi and if you do they charge €20 to get to Cortona and €35 to the train station. Internet - Very poor. We were working and it was very slow to get emails to download. Video calls out of the question. Also not possible to stream sport or a movie. Toiletries - We were provided with only four toilet rolls for nine nights and six guests. You are expected to supply toilet paper, soap, shampoo, etc. Towels and cleaning - over nine nights I had to ask for a clean set of towels and sheets and a clean halfway, this was delayed but ultimately done. Pool - The pool was not clean when we arrived. The host did clean it the next day. Washing machine - It is very old and dirty. Instructions - There are no instructions provided when you arrive, not for internet or the washing machine or heating etc. Power outage - The hosts showed me the fuse box on arrival incase the power went out. That was a sign that this is common.Posted onVerified Beautiful, serene location in Cortona, with unbelievable sunsets! ☺ Beautiful property with incredible views...sunsets were to die for! Bedrooms were spacious and and bathroom and kitchen were well appointed. We were treated to complimentary wine, cheese and charcuterie which was very appreciated. Hosts were very friendly and helpful. ☹ We did not realise that the property was down a pretty steep, off road path. Thankfully we had a vehicle that could handle the terrain but this is not a dealbreaker even for a smaller car, it just would have been good to know this in advance. On Google maps, it shows the walk to town is about 15 minutes but this path is off-road, gravel, muddy when it rains. Definitely not recommended in the dark or without the right shoes.
